They were more than soldiers, they were friends, sons, husbands and fathers. They came from all corners of the country, from cities, towns and hamlets. We can never begin to repay them for the selfless acts they preformed for us, but we can remember them.

Of 4,050 soldiers who served in the battalion during the war, 977 were killed or missing and 2,282 were wounded.
